Access Control

Access control is the process of managing and restricting access to certain resources or areas to authorized personnel. It can be physical or digital and is an important aspect of security in many industries. An access control system is a digital network that utilizes tags, readers, control panels, and locks to create a seamless, automated experience for the user. These tags use RFID technology to send signals to the access control panel and can be configured based on the individual user.

There are three types of access control systems, including discretionary access control, mandatory access control, and role-based access control, which determine how access permissions are granted and who can set access permissions.
